Ján Levoslav Bella was a Slovak composer living in Vienna .
He was born on 4th September 1843 in Liptovský Mikuláš in Catholic Family . He was baptized as Ján Ignác Bella .
He was sent to Grammar School in Levoča where he studied piano from 1853 to 1859 .
He completed his secondary education in Banská Bystrica from 1859 to 1863 .
He studied at Vienna University from 1863 to 1865 .
Ján Levoslav Bella was the first Slovak composer on European level .
He composed the first Slovak opera Kováč Wieland / The Smith Wieland / .
He moved to Bratislave in 1928 .
He died on 25th May 1936 in Bratislava .
